**Reducing loneliness through cycling with SilverFit Mile in people with dementia**
The study by Budak et al (2024) shows that the SilverFit Mile is viewed positively by care staff, who observed an increase in social interactions in residents.
The increase in social interaction is largely caused by reminiscence. It also gives residents a greater sense of control by allowing them to cycle by themselves.
The SilverFit Mile also appears to be suitable for people in later stages of dementia and can be used in groups or individually, depending on the need for social interaction.
