The latest update to the SilverFit Rephagia has been implemented!
We listened to user feedback and wishes to come up with this update.
In this article, we’ll tell you what’s new and/or improved.
Less frequent calibration
We were able to reduce the number of times the system starts a calibration.
Basically, calibration is needed when something changes in the conditions in which the exercise is performed. A few important factors are:
– The placement of the electrode sticker
– The type of exercise being done (A swallow rehearsal or a movement that needs to be held)
– The fatigue of the client
In principle, if these conditions remain the same, there is no need to recalibrate.
Client data security tightened
Privacy rules are becoming increasingly important. Information is stored on the SilverFit Rephagia, and for many organisations (and clients) it is very important that this is done as securely as possible.
We have therefore added extra security options to the database to prevent unauthorised access to stored client data. The security of this is always evolving and this update has also been worked on. In daily use of the SilverFit Rephagia, you will not notice any of this.
Tightening up feedback in the Kangaroo Exercises
Last year, we added a little more feedback to the kangaroo exercises. Including an air cloud when a swallow is registered but does not exceed the target value.
The kangaroo appeared to respond too often, for example when clients make a lot of extra muscle movements. Thanks to your feedback, we were able to tighten this threshold.
Other (minor) changes:
– We added a success ratio to the results screen. This allows you to see at a glance what percentage of rehearsals were successful.
– We have updated a number of training videos. The video that gives an introduction to all exercises in general and a video that gives additional explanation of the kangaroo visualisations have been updated. We have also added a new video for the controlled swallow exercise. You can find these videos in the software under ‘manual’.
– When using backspace to delete rehearsals, you can now only delete one rehearsal at a time. This prevents you from accidentally deleting too many rehearsals.
– You can choose which swallow scores are shown in the system. If your location uses a different score than the FOIS default in the system, you can change this via the Administrator menu.
SilverFit complies with new medical device legislation (MDR)
Behind the scenes, we have not only been working on the new software update but have also ensured that our way of working complies with the new medical device legislation. This EU legislation regulates improved client safety and clinical safety of devices. The SilverFit Rephagia is registered with a UDI code in the European medical device database.
